I took a blogging break several months ago to help my mother-in-law sell her house and move into a retirement community.
I expected to be back by mid-March as things wrapped up. As you can see, I needed more time to get my feet under me again.
I wear a lot of hats.
Over the past few months of regaining my bearings and re-focusing on my businesses, I have come to realize I simply can’t create the type of value I envision for my businesses while also committing to a regular blogging schedule.
Blogging (for me) is only a hobby, after all.
So, I am clarifying and focusing my current course.
I have a bookkeeping business and a wellness business (I link to them over on the side panel).
I operate the wellness business because of the value I place on people and my desire to help everyone experience their best life.
My bookkeeping business did not have a similar personal purpose for me – it is just something I am good at. This has become increasingly unacceptable to me. And shifting focus from one business to the other keeps either from growing the way they should.
So, I resolved to seek a unified focus – a single purpose which comes from my heart.
As a result, I’ve decided to specialize my bookkeeping practice in the wellness industries and my wellness business will concentrate on a whole mind, body, and spirit approach to health.
As I began to implement my decision, I encountered some knowledge gaps I would like to fill in order to provide the kind of service and value I envision for my customers and clients. So, I am pursuing four certificate programs over the next two years. I am enrolled in a three month program starting August 1st and a year-long program starting August 27th. Two 6-month programs will follow.

I believe keeping up with my current clients while working on these certificates (as well as taking care of my family) will keep me very busy. So – this post is to apologize for being gone so long and to let readers know my posts will probably be sparse over the next two years.
I expect to pop in here from time to time to share my experiences and thoughts on life, but infrequently for now.
